Meet the Fashion Bloggers Bittersweet Colours

In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Veronica of Bittersweet Colours.

Hi Veronica, tell us a little bit about yourself( who you are/ what you do /where you’re from)

My name is Veronica Popoiacu , I’m a freelance artist and the girl behind Bittersweetcolours.blogspot.com.I grew up in Romania, where I pursued the art studies. At the age 25, my husband ( boyfriend at that time) and I, we decided it to try the “American dream”. We currently live in Pennsylvania and we are still working on our dreams. Bittersweet Colours Is one of them.

What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?

Because I studied art in high school and collage, I always had that desire to express myself. At first it was on a small dimensions. A piece of canvas turned into a big picture. I cares about the way I dressed every day- for me, this Is just another form of art that involves creativity.
I constantly receive great feedback from my readers as well as support from friends and family that I dearly care about. So, that motivates me to keep blogging.

How would you define your style?

Overall is simple, minimalist but always with a punch of colors. I practically ” eat” and “breath” colors. I keep the focus on them and the rest of the outfit is clean and simple- effortless chic-
I also love to wear my own jewelry made by Bogdan (my husband ) and I, who are always the perfect detail, no matter what I wear.

How did you chose the name of your blog?

Bitter-sweet is the mix of taste that I love since i was litlle. Bittersweet colours came up like a result of my love of mixing EXTREMS like colors, patterns, different styles and also modern with vintage. I just love the chemistry between different things, colors and styles.

What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?

That is hard to tell! I receive many wonderful comments from my readers, but I think the best one is that I inspire them. It is a great reward to hear that and also a great motivation to continue blogging .

Who what inspires you?

Everybody and everything ! I find inspiration every day in simple things: art, street style, LIFE…inspiration is endless.

What are your favorite pieces in your wardrobe?

I have a few vintage shirts that I love , jewelry and shoes!

What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?

Do what you love and love what you do. It is a must to stay true to yourself , follow your vision and also to be open to constructive criticism .

Your first thought in the morning?

Another day, another story…

What is your favorite thing to do when not blogging?

Painting, making jewelry , sometimes clothing and I also like to create memories by traveling and spending time with people I love.

For you , what is the world’s most fashionable city?

I will chose N.Y, is the one that I visited the most, but I also strongly believe that Paris and Milan have a powerful point of view in fashion world.

What message do you hope to send to your readers?

I want to thank them for being so supportive and also to follow their dream.
