We decided to shine some light on some of our favourite fashion bloggers as they share their blogging stories with us, today we’re interviewing Irene of Irene’s Closet.
Irene, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
I’m a 24 years old girl from Florence (Italy). I graduated in Economy but, blogging for Irene’s Closet, I started to work in fashion social networks. I work with my blog as a freelancer, I’m the italian director of Chicisimo.it , the most important street style community in Europe and i work as Editor in chief for Bigodino.it an italian feminine web megazine totally built by bloggers.
How would you define your style?
My style is a urban, chic, italian style. I’ll be honest, I like to wake up at morning, open my closet and decide to change my style only for one day! Isn’t it the funniest part of fashion?
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I decided to open my blog while writing my graduating thesis. I decided to open it just for fun. But after a couple of months my blog was checked by a very important italian online magazine and it has been my fortune! Then I start to grow and grow and my blog has started to be also part of my today job. I love blogging, to share and talk with people around the world: that’s what motivates me keep blogging. I love what I’m doing!
How did you choose the name of your blog?
Irene’s Closet is the most simple name that I had in my mind when I was thinking what name give to my blog. It’s easy to remember and very shorts. Anyway thanks to two words you can easly imagine what’s about: Irene’s closet!
Who/what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the whole world! I love to walk around vintage shops, open markets and let old things inspire me! I follow few bloggers from Spain and US and they give me lot of inspiration!
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
My new Miss Paillette bag by Dolce & Gabbana
What is your top fashion tip?
Do not match more then 3 colours together in the same outfit!
What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Passion is the most important thing whan you start blogging. A blog is like a baby; you have to follow it, to help it growing, to care about it., It’s a huge commitment in terms of time! So the first advice I would like to give to girls starting blogging is to put passion into their work!
What importance do social networks have for you?
They are the most important thing: my followers can be uptodate on whatever I do every day of my life!
Your first thought in the morning?
My first thought is for my boyfriend! We have been together since 6 years and I love him so much!
What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
I love to walk aroud with my two big dog, watching tvseries and spent time with my boyfriend
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
Milan: people are so elegant there!
What message do you hope to send to your readers?
I would like to let them know more about fashion world, to keep them update with new brands, new shops,discounts and so on.
