In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Lily of Lily and Karl.
Lily, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.)
I’m Lily from Sofia, Bulgaria – currenly into styling, blogging, pr and marketing.
How would you define your style?
I like to combine coarse and rough pieces with really feminine ones, like for example a floral dress with super beaten up boots or skinny jeans with a distressed oversized tee. Kind of mix and match style.
How did you find your sense of style?
By getting inspired – people, cities, movies, fashion.
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I had been getting a little too obsessive about checking fashion blogs (namely oracle fox, ilovewildfox, fashion toast, carolines mode, etc.) and one day I just started my own. Lily and Karl is more of a photo blog – a collection of my inspirations, however I’m thinking of start posting personal style photos as well.
How did you choose the name of your blog?
I love Karl Lagerfeld and mainly his work for Chanel…and want to marry him as well so if you are reading this, Karl, give me a call.
What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
Karl is mine, go f**k yourself.
Who/what inspires you?
Stylish people on the streets, Daria Werbowy, Wildfox, Chanel vintage jewelry and Tommy Ton’s work at the moment.
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
A studded leather bag by Olivia Harris, a Rolling Stones second hand t-shirt, my distressed Current/Elliott jeans and a leather jacket by Doma. I think I’d wear these even when I’m 80.
What is your top fashion tip?
Wear clothes in which you feel comfortable.
What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Blog frequently so your visitors have always something to look forward to.
Your first thought in the morning?
Where’s my phone?
What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
Travelling.
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
Stockholm.
