Today we meet Nunzia, the italian blogger of Moda à Porter.
Nunzia, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
My name is Nunzia, for the most intimate Nuny. I have 24 years and I’m happily married for almost a year. I live in Palermo, where I work at the family business.
How would you define your style?
Do not think there is a term for my style, because I dress according to my mood I love the simple style of vintage-chic, a dancer and a convenient day for sexy heels for evening. I do not like to exaggerate, I prefer the comfort, when I see it in the morning around 12 girls with a heel to toe and make-up too much, I wonder: “But what time you wake up?! ”
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I opened my blog by chance, one day I woke up and I thought: WHY NOT DO IT?
I wanted to share with the other girls my biggest passion, write some techniques for DIY hairstyles and publish pictures of LOW COST.
How did you choose the name of your blog?
The name originated from the distinction between high and low cost fashion. So as we distinguish high fashion from Pret-à-Porter. I wanted a title “immediate” in the sense that the one who visited my blog was to immediately understand what my concept of fashion, i.e. something affordable for all, regardless of budget more or less high.
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
SHOES, SHOES, SHOES!
Your first thought in the morning?
Be able to do everything, then RUN, run, run. Certainly on a heel 12 would be impossible!
What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
Show my husband because I love him and cook delicious dishes for him.
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
Absolutely NY, one of the cities I visited during my honeymoon in the States! However, I am convinced that both the City and the small mountain village can in their own way be glamour!
How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?
Palermo is neither Milan or New York, fashion is not very important in our culture. Events there are really few and no evening glamour. Palermo is a wonderful city where the art is all about. All our heritage could be exploited for fashion events but unfortunately not exploited to the maximum of what we have: creativity.
What message do you hope to send to your readers?
Do not ask too much to yourselves! Usually it says “talk about how you eat”, in this case I would say “Clothes as you feel”
