Meet the Fashion Bloggers: Only Shopping Blog

In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Valentina of Only Shopping Blog from Italy.

Valentina, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
Hi! I’m Valentina Tassone and I’m an italian fashion blogger. I study languages at high school an I’m attending the fourth year now. As it’s obvious from my blog, I have a big passion for fashion and everything concerning it.

How would you define your style?
My style is that kind which can be followed by everyone, it’s neither odd nor basic, I can match low cost clothes with expensive brand accessories. This is what my readers like about me.

What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I first started a fashion blog to share my passion and style with the world, to put myself at stake and show everything I wear, from the most particolar to the most basic outfits. What motivates me are all the people who appreciate my way of styling and those who send me emails writing that reading my blog has become something they do everyday.

How did you choose the name of your blog?
The name of my blog is “Only Shopping Blog” because I had a Facebook page at first with this name. After I saw that the number of followers was growing and my tastes where appreciated I decided to open the blog, using the same name!

What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
Alot of pieces in my wardrobe are my favourite ones and they are different for each season. However one of those that I’ve always loved is a pink sequined jacket. I’ve always been crazy about it!

What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
What I suggest is just to be yourself and make people appreciate you for who you really are. You should never neglect your fans: they’re part of your success and the best supporters you can have!

What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
Stay with my friends, always enjoy myself and…shopping, of course!

For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
It will seem expectable but I choose New York. There are shops that we can only dream to have in Italy and most of my favourite designers are from there. Then, it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
Alot of comments made me excited but one time I received a very long comment from a reader. I was so happy and surprised about it, she wrote that she had followed me since the beginning and she noticed that each outfit was better than the previous one, she was sure that my blog would have become very popular. I was really happy!

What message do you hope to send to your readers?
I hope my readers understand that it’s not necessary to be exaggerated to have a style. Sometimes a little detail can be enough to completely change one’s look and be particular and fashionable.
