Meet the Fashion Bloggers Penny Lane

In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Flor of Penny Lane from Argentina.
Flor, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
My name is Florencia, and I am a 23-year-old lawyer, who lives in Berazategui, a small city in the south of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

How would you define your style?
Changing. It depends on what I have seen, what I have searched through the web, or on how I feel.

How did you find your sense of style?
I do not feel I found it, it just came out somehow someday, and I feel I am still discovering it.

What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I used to follow a lot of fashion blogs, and I decided I would also love to share my style, my clothes, and the things I did with everyone. Nowadays, my followers are the ones that keep me blogging, because I know they are always there, waiting for a new post, and giving great feedback. Besides, receiving emails like yours is another great motivation to keep blogging.

How did you choose the name of your blog?
I was watching a special program on TV about The Beatles, and I heard the song “Penny Lane” that says “Penny Lane is in my ears, is in my eyes”, and I thought hey! I want to be in everyone ears, and eyes, and it was it.

What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
I do not remember a special comment but I really love the ones that are full of love, maybe more than the ones that talk only about my look.

Who/what inspires you?
A lot of things: the bloggers I follow, people I see in the street, movies or series I watch.

What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
I have a yellow coat, a black pair of ankle boots, and a little black dress that I love.

What is your top fashion tip?
Have fun! Fashion is about dressing up, be yourself, and be whoever you want to be every day.

What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Whether you want to start a fashion blog or any other kind of blog, just do what you really want, if you are passionate, it shows.

What importance do social networks have for you?
Social networks are really, really important today. They are an easy and fast way to communicate, and if you have a blog, it is the opportunity to share it with the world.

Your first thought in the morning?
Probably the same that most people have: Oh gosh, do I have to get up? Can’t I sleep for a few more hours?

What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
I enjoy reading, watching movies or series, and I also love to spend time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend.

For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
New York City.

How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?
Shy. I think Buenos Aires has a lot of potential, but a great part of the society is not ready for a “change in fashion style” yet.

What message do you hope to send to your readers?
Quoting Steve Jobs: Stay hungry, stay foolish. Meaning stay crazy, follow your dreams, never stop fighting for them, and they will come true.
