In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Deniz of Style Tao.
Deniz, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
After the graduation from Fashion Design in Turkey, I came to Milan for my master education. Milan was impressed me a lot with its passion to fashion. Each day I was seeing so many stylish people. I started to take photos to improve my vision about style because in the future my goal was to be a successful stylist ( it is still my goal by the way).
How would you define your style?
Minimalist, androgenous with sexy details.
How did you find your sense of style?
Actually, it depens to my mood. Sometimes I want be casual,sometimes I want be so chic but comfort is my priority
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
Milan and its chic people. They are so stylish but they are not fashion victims. They create their own style with their attitude.
How did you choose the name of your blog?
The word “Tao” means a road. I chose it because in my opinion, a style has a road to follow. People make various combinations, read magazines, watch fashion shows, do shopping, follow the latest trends etc. and all of these are to reach to your personal best and perfection. In my blog I share my perspective of style, my favourite combinations and latest trends to enrich my reader’s options about “Style”.
What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
“ Amazing photos, I am so lucky to find your blog,it is so inspirational”
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
My little black dress, my colourful cardigan and blazer and my shoes, I think I am obsessed with shoes:)
What is your top fashion tip?
Attitude creates your style. Without your character they are just fabrics
What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Never give up, work hard and believe your self!
What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
Go out with my friends, shopping but when I need to be alone my favourite thing is to watch movies especially documentary films. Now I am waiting the documentary film of Tom Ford , he is my all time favourite designer.
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
Difficult question but I can say Paris and New York.
How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?
So experimental, you can see so many different styles in one place. Istanbul is an eternal source for inspirational style.
