Hi Morgan, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).

I’m a musician and fashion designer from Australia, blogging about touring on the road and creating fashion at my blog mojomade.blogspot.com

How would you define your style?

I call it “Gypsy Rock n Roll” – the same way I describe my music. It’s all a good mix of old-school glamour with rebelious boho shimmering through.

How did you find your sense of style?

I think always challenging myself to try something new has helped to define what I like when it comes to fashion. And going through a great music/songwriting stint over the past year has really opened my creative side.

What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?

I started my blog about a year ago when I began making more art and designing fashion. At the time I already had a musical outlet being able to play live shows and recording my songs but I felt I wanted to explore more avenues and that’s what MojoMade has become – a place for all my creative projects to land.

How did you choose the name of your blog?

Well… My nickame is Mojo (from MOrgan JOanel) and I make things… So it just became MojoMade

What is your top fashion tip?

Always try something new and don’t be afraid to wear what you want even if it’s not ‘on-trend’. Fashion is about expressing yourself no matter who you are.

How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?

The great thing about Sydney is there isn’t really a defined style. With so many independent designers, thrift stores, vintage boutiques and high end styles… Maybe I would describe it as Indie-Chic :)

What message do you hope to send to your readers?

I hope to inspire my readers (and listeners) to go after their dreams and to find their creative side. I like the idea that when you’re a child you have no limits – if
everyone could just go back to when they were 8 years old and do the things they loved then, I think we’d all be better off! I hope to make people believe in themselves and feel like anything is possible.
