In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger one of the Top Teen Vogue “Fashion Click” bloggers: Zoe of Fashiononymous.
Zoe, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
I’m a 15 year old student from Hong Kong, and i love fashion, art, reading and going on the internet.
How would you define your style?
It’s casual and evolves constantly. Right now i’m into much slouchy silhouettes with girly accents.
How did you find your sense of style?
I took inspiration from internet (sites like lookbook.nu and tumblr) and added my own elements to create my personal style.
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I read a few blogs and decided to make my own with a friend (who doesn’t blog with me anymore). My readers motivate me to post more, and keep up the quality of my posts. their support makes me so happy!
How did you choose the name of your blog?
My friend and i decided that there are so many people out there who are pretty much “anonymous” but with a great personal style, so we decided to the blog fashiononymous.
What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
All of them! any one that shows me support is so nice and kind. my readers make my day!
Who/what inspires you?
Other bloggers on the internet, like ebba zingmark, garypeppergirl, amanda broman, etc.
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
I love my sweaters, since they keep me warm and i love the slouchy silhouette right now (i’m not really into skin tight clothing)
What is your top fashion tip?
Wear what you want because those who’s opinions should matter won’t judge you based on what you wear. also, wear what you feel comfortable in.
What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Don’t give up; in can be hard at first for people to notice your blog, but eventually you’ll get more readers and a bigger audience.
What importance do social networks have for you?
I can meet and chat with fellow bloggers and readers, which is great for making new friends from around the world.
Your first thought in the morning?
“I don’t want to get out of bed”
What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
Browsing the internet and checking out blogs.
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
New york, paris or LA. it’s so hard to choose. each city has it’s own edge and elegance in the way people dress.
How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?
People in Hong Kong pretty much go by the trends, but there are a lot of individuals (on streets, with blogs) who had unique, vibrant styles. The style vibe here is very casual and colorful.
