In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Maritsa.
Maritsa, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
Im a old psychology student, now a fashion blogger and fashion editor at the same time in İstanbul.
How would you define your style? How did you find your sense of style?
I cant describe my style clearly but what i can say is i choose my daily outfit according to my mood when i wake up. Mostly, i like to combine girly items with masculine touches!
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I was watching the movie Julie and Julia and realized that if you wanna do sth different than your education or CV represent, thats the only way to show your passion and power on that matter. Thanks to my blog i jumped into fashion industry as a buyer first and now im a fashion editor. It was impossible to do it with psychology degree but after my blog, people realized my taste of fashion.
How did you choose the name of your blog?
Maritsa is the english version of my real name actually.
What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
I’m receiving so many wonderful comments actually im not so sure which one is the best, but Harpers Bazaar Turkey represented me as a princess of the social media and it surprised me! Very nice compliment!
Who/what inspires you?
My inspiration is coming from the daily life. This could be a movie, a fashion editorial, a woman walking on the street, sometimes a book and even music can inspire me.
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
My favorite items are my highheels actually 
so i have lots of favorite item. Only advice that i can give is being natural. Thats what people wanna see.
Your first thought in the morning?
First thought of the mornings is I dont wanna work today
What is your top fashion tip?
Fashion tip i can give is keeping it simple. Dont exaggerate, dont try so hard because we can see it. You shouldnt stay behind of your clothes.
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
The most fashionable city of the world is Istanbul i think. Couple of years ago i might say its London, but now, when i go somewhere in Europe, im missimgn my city and variety that we have. Istanbul has a very complex fashion taste. You can find very good examples of different kind of styles.
What message do you hope to send to your readers?
Fashion is a playground, dont take it too serious but at the same time you should know that you are giving so many tips about your life and personality with your style!
