Meet the Fashion Bloggers: The Old Now

In this series, we’ve been interviewing some of our favorite fashion bloggers around the world, today our featured blogger is Laura of The Old Now.

Laura, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.)
Hi! My name is Laura and I’m an Italian engineer with a strong passion for fashion. This interest has grown up since I started to live in Milan, almost 10 years ago. I come from a small seaside town in Liguria.

How would you define your style?
My tastes are refined but simple, not necessarily related to current trends. I like to mix the various trends, low cost brands with expensive accessories.

What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
The motivation that leads me to write every day on the blog is the same that led me to the web first: find a “place” where I can read news about collaborations, fashion shows, backstages and fashion in general. Idea that I later expanded by introducing information about events and food

How did you choose the name of your blog?
The name of my site, www.TheOldNow.it, born from the idea of being able to read informations I have written previously at any time you want.

What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
Z.A. “I mention her on twitter because it’s one of the few people who has a nice blog and not snooty”

What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
Ballet pumps and shirts.

What importance do social networks have for you?
Social networks are central to the business of the blog, they allow readers to stay always connected on the news just published. To have breakfast with bread and Nutella.

What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
I love traveling, discover new places and observe the different lifestyles.

What message do you hope to send to your readers?
To my readers I suggest to be determinated, to try to pursue their own goals and do not be discouraged by initial difficulties and never give up.
